The colour of the scattered light depends on the size of the scattering particle. Very fine particles scatter mainly blue light while particles of larger size scatter light of longer wavelengths i.e. red colour. If the sizeof the particle is very large, thescattered light may appear white.

the colour of the scattered light depends on the size of the scattering particles. If the size of the particles is very fine, they scatter mainly light of shorter wavelength or blue light. If the size of particles is larger, they scatter light of longer wavelength . If the size of particles is large enough, they scatter light of all the colours and appear white .
