The stomata of the leaves are very sensitive towards the concentration of Carbon dioxide. At low concentration of the carbon dioxide stomata opens on the other hand it closes in the high concentration of the carbon dioxide.
Extra Information
• Transpiration also depends on the distribution and number of the stomata.
• Even it depends that how much open stomata are present in number.
• It also depends on the presence of the water in the plant.
• Also depends on the canopy structure of the leaf.
• Increase in the potassium ions stimulates the stomata for its opening.
• ABA or Abscisic acid is responsible for closing of the stomata.
