How does the cuscuta plant derive its nutrition?

a cuscuta plant derives it's nutrition by clinging on to some other plant. in turn it's harms the host plant it is parasitic in nature

it is a parasite. it has no chlorophylland can not make its own food by photosynthesis. instead it grows on other plants using their nutrients for its  growth and weakening the host plant.
