In this poem the poet describes how he feels when he is rolling down a hill. The poem describes the excitement of going downhill on a bicycle. The poet describes how he stands ready at the top of a hill, his feet lifted and hands steady. Then he starts rolling down and the wind rushes by. As the bicycle picks up speed, it seems to the speaker that he is actually flying this is a exciting and joyous

moment and the poet feels that this gives him the freedom of bird. It helps him understand the joy and freedom of flying. He wonders if there is any experience that comes close to the feeling of complete happiness that he is experiencing. Skating is a sport that merely ties him to the ground, thanks to the heavy steel skates that he has to wear. As the bicycle slows down, it seems to him that he is floating in a boat that rides the wind. He finds that he has to begin cycling again. He regrets the fact that a long hill ends in a valley. But he understands that anyone who has the dedication and determination to climb the hill will be rewarded. He will find opportunities that give him wings and help him to fly above the world and touch the sky.
