How does the density of water change from 0degree c to 4degree c

At four degree calcius density of water is maximum

By heating the ice the ice starts melt . When the temperature is 4°c then then the atoms of the ice are come closer to each other and the density is maximum at 4°c. When just the temperature is increasing then then the density starts decreasing.
