-The sea breeze is a good example where the pressure & the wind combindly decide the climate of Coastal stations.Due to unequal heating of the land & the adjoining sea surfaces during the day time, air becomes more warmer over land & rises creating a low pressure over the land.So cold winds starts moving towards the land to replace the warmer rising air. This is the sea breeze which makes coastal stations to have a moderate weather throughout the year.
-The sea moderates the climate as it is called the moderating effect of water. The water therefore heats up slowly during the day,and cools down slowly during the night. The land is opposite;it heats up quickly during the day & cools quickly during the night.
During the day,the wind blows cool air from the water to the land during the night, the wind blows the warm air from the water. It's only sea's that moderate the climate, large bodies of water such as lakes to the same, but they have a smaller moderating radius. Also, even a small river or creek moderates the temperature of the surrounding area. That is why when you stand near a river/creek in summer,it tends to feel cooler than when you're further away.
