The north pole of magnetic axis of earth is its geographical South Pole because South Pole attracts the magnetic North Pole. The South Pole of its magnetic axis is in its north pole of geographic axis because north pole attracts the south pole of magnetic axis. The magnetic axis do not coincide with the earth's geographic axis. So, its magnetic axis inclined at an angle of 22.3° with geographic axis.

earth creates its magnetic field due to the flow of lava in its core. When earth rotates, the lava rotates too which produces its own magnetic field . From upward , it rotates anticlockwise so this pole is north and from downward, it rotates in the clockwise direction. So, thus pole is south pole .

The strength of its magnetic field ranges from 25 to 65 microteslas.... hope ti helps.......
