how does the economy of the country suffered if forest are destroyed

economy of the country will suffer through pitiable conditions if forest will destroy because all product whose value include in GDP of India come directly or indirectly by forests. if the forests get destroyed India have to import products which will cause extra money to be consumed thus imbalancing the economy of India. this will also cause shortage of food and famines for very poor people due to its cost.
