Electronic configuration is the electrons filled in shells..... Shells r outer covering of nucleus, shells r K, L, M, N
In K shell.. 2 electrons filled
In L shells.. 8 electrons filled
In M shell.. 8 electrons filled
Eg.. Electronic configuration of Mg
Ato. no. of Mg.. 12... So, in K shells 2 be filled, in L shell 8 be filled.. n in M shell 2 electrons remains
Mg... 2, 8, 2....
Hope this is helpful..
