how does the farmer selects good seeds for sowing?

there is a way to select good seeds for sowing. mostly the farmers use this method.take a vessel.and pour one by fourth water in it .take seeds used for sowing and dip them in water. wait for few seconds .we will notice that some seeds will float on water and some are sink in water.the seeds that were floated they are not good and damaged. the seeds which aer sinked they are best seeda for sowing....
