Acid rain is one of main cause for making aquatic life difficult to survive..
When these rains occurs they flow into rivers thereby causing aquatic animals in a particular lake ecosystem difficult to survive as lake gets mixed up with acid..

when nitrogen in atmosphere reacts with water
forms nitric acid which is mixed with rainwater
and comes to ground which when drained into river causes death of aquatic plants and species due to mixture of acid in water .
