Acid rain as the name implies is acidic . When it reaches the river or any other water body it decreases the pH of the water hence making it more acidic so what happens is that the fishes or other organisms present can't just adapt to the change in pH of the water in which they live . Hence they find it difficult to survive and they could possibly die too .
