when we ingest food it is mixed with many enzymes as it passes along the GIT..

_first it is mixed with salivary amylase and carbohydrates are digested in the mouth

_then it goes to stomach and many enzymes are mixed here too and the food is broken down into many small pieces and forms chyme

_then it enters small intestine and the secretions of liver and pancreas is poured into it which includes many enzymes too

_here in small intestine the smaller pieces of food are absorbed into the blood ...

I Hope It Helps .... Its a short summary

• As food passes through the GI tract, it mixes with digestive juices, causing large molecules of food to break down into smaller molecules. The body then absorbs these smaller molecules through the walls of the small intestine into the bloodstream, which delivers them to the rest of the body.
