How does the gene 'I' control ABO blood groups in humans ? Write the effect the gene has on the structure of red blood cells.

The gene I has three allele IA,IB and i.
IA and IB secret sugar but i don't ,that's why different blood group have different RBCs
Both IA and IB are completely dominant on i (which codes for o blood group)
since humans are diploid, only 2 allele can exist at a time.
THIS PHENOMENON OF MANY ALLELES CONTOLLING ONE FUNCTION IS KNOWN AS MULTIPLE ALLELISM.

IA IA and IA i codes for A blood group
IB IB and IB i codes for B blood group
i i codes for O blood group
IA IB codes for AB blood group (because of codominance)
