As the young lawyer had a cheap filthy job, he had to visit many dirty places in the city and had to interact with the dark sides of the city life. Because of this reason, he had started disliking the city. New Mullion according to the lawyer was better because he liked its people, and found them simple, wise and soft-spoken. Most importantly, he was in awe with the hack driver as he was a friendly, decent and pleasant man.
