Chapatis contain carbohydrates, protein and fats. The carbohydrates are digested in mouth as starch (if roti is made of rice aata/flour). Starch is charged into maltose by saliva. Sugar is digested by amylase in pancreatic juice and enzymes in intestinal juice. Protien will be digested in stomach and small intestine by trypsin and erepsin into amino acids. Amiho acids, fattyacids, sugars as glucose are absorbed by villi in small intestine.
