How does the Mariner express the fact that the ship was completely surrounded by ice berg (Poem The Rime of the Ancient Mariner)

suddenly a very powerful storm came it was so strong that it overpowered the ship and took it in this other direction. now it turned extremely cold there was snow. there was the ice all here and there it was all around and cutting down from the steep side of the ice box. it created a hostel atmosphere.
