How does the number of : (I) valence electrons and (ii) valency vary on moving from left to right in the third period of the periodic table ?​

I) valence electrons increases by 1 on moving from left to right across a period until it reaches 8

ii)valency increases from 1 to 4 then again decreases to 0 across a period from left to right

  1. Valence electrons have same shell (outermost shell) increase progracevily by one across the period.
  2. On moving from left to right in the third period. valence increase from 1 to 7 and ultimately zero in the last.
