After the food is digest,it is assimilated through out the body then it reaches the cells of the body,in the cytoplasm of the cell the glucose is converted into pyruvate.
-In mitochondria with the help of oxygen it converts the pyruvate in to energy(38ATP)+CO2 +H2O
