By the release in the of CFCs, Hallons, CO2 gages in the atmosphere by the increasing use of refrigerator, air conditioner etc.
THESE gases reaches at a altitude that is stratosphere where ozone layer is. these reactive with it and depletes the layer.

Hello Mate!

What is Ozone layer?

Ozone layer is tge protective covering in stratosphere thag presents entrance of UVA, UVB and most harmful UVC rays. UVC rays can cause skin cancer, breast cancer and make person blind.

Why such important Ozone layer is getting depleted?

CFC or Chlorofluorocarbons are highly stable, odorless and colorless chemical ueed in ACs and refrigerators.

CFC remains non toxic till troposphere but when it enters the stratosphere then it looses one of its chlorine atom due to UVC rays which react with Ozone molecules. The reaction results Chlorine monoxide and oxygen molecule. The chlorine monoxide then again reacts with ozone molecule to produce chlorine atom and 2 oxygen molecules.

Thus CFC breaks the Ozone ( O3 ) into oxygen molecule ( O2 ) and chlorine atom ( Cl ).

One chlorofluorocarbon atom can vanish 1,00,000 ( 1 lakh ) ozone molecules ( O3 ).

So, CFCL3 + UVC rays => CFCL2 + CL

Now, CL + O3 => CLO + O2

Finally, CLO + O3 => CL + 2(O2)

Please refer to attachment to get explained depletion of ozone layer through diagram.

Have great future ahead!
