✴The parent rock determines that what is the colour, chemical properties, texture, mineral content of the soil.

✴The parent rock means that the rocks which make the soil as we know that soil is made up of a large piece of rock.

✴Due to various climatic conditions, the rock breaks into small pieces.

✴Those rocks are physically broken but their chemical properties remain as it is and hence we can say that the nature of soil depends on ours parent rock.
