it clearly shows that it illustrates the life of african american because the poem not only tells tells us about one bird but demonstrates the life of two birds which literally means americans and african americans and she also tells in the poem that the free bird claims as if the whole sky is under its control and that means that the whites take over all the other people and underestimate them
