the poet compares himself to the child by stating different examples.

The poet compares the way of life the child and he has. The child is happy playing with nothing, while He has gathered lumps of gold and silver, but is still saddened by the work. Poet also states that the difference between the two is that the child finds and creates his own games, while The poet has to follow rules and standards.
