The poem from 'In Another Country' by David Constantine describes two houses - one by the sea and the other at the hill side.

The house by the sea was quiet in the night and it would look elder among other homes that would sleep at that time, when the old house would think about the past.

The house by the hills would creep up against the rock and gorsed, and tipped down to the river. It was much similar to that of the house by the sea.
