in the poem the heart of a tree, the poet henry cuyler buner tells us about how trees do civic good to us:

  • it provides us fresh and purified air to breathe
  • acts as a home for many birds and insects
  • provides rain and shade which are invaluable

he further says that the person who plants a tree intentionally or unintentionally does good to the society.

he does good to the upcoming generations of our society also.
