Answer.Natural vegetation is as valuable a natural resource as land or water. The vast expanses of equatorial rainforests are important in determining the production of oxygen in the world. These forests absorb the greatest amount of carbon dioxide released on earth in the process of respiration, and therefore, are aptly called the lungs of the world. The recent incidences of clearing parts of these rainforests have put all living beings in danger.
