The pressure of liquid depend on its depth as the weight of the liquid pushes down to its bas. So the pressure at the top of the liquid is very small and the pressure on the base of the liquid is much more.

Answer: The pressure exerted by a liquid increases with increasing depth inside the liquid. The pressure exerted by a liquid is small just under the surface of the liquid. As the depth of liquid increases the weight of liquid column pushing down from above increases and hence the pressure also increases.

Hope this helped! :)
