Once pollination is completed, pollen grains develop a long tube which passes through the narrow style and reaches the ovary. The male gamete fuses with the female gamete in the ovary.

the pollen grain of one flower fall on the stigma of same flower or another flower of same plant the pollen grain elongated through a long tube through the intine. in the pollen grain there are tube nucleus and generative nucleus. the tube nucleus shows the path to the micropyle while the tube nucleus shows the path to the micropyle the generative nucleus get divided into two sperm nuclei.when the tube nucleus shows the way to the micropyle it disintegreates (vanished). then from one the sperm nuclei joins with two polar nuclei in the ovule and the other sperm nuclei combines with egg call through assistance of synergids. then the fertilization takes place
