How does the process of ingestion take place in paramecium?

The food is held within a vacuole and digestion takes place. Enzymes in the cytoplasm permeate the wall of the vacuole and digest the food inside. The nutrient that are released from the food particle are similarly diffused through to the outside of the vacuole into the cytoplasm, nourishing the paramecium.

PARAMECIUM has celia all over its body.

The celia moves the food particle towards its mouth and then takes it inside its body.

All the other four steps of nutrition are same as that in Amoeba.
