Its definitely not 1,because its too vague for the paragraph
not 2 because hes talking to the guy in second person and not to others in the third.
not 3 cuz the mere brutality in the paragraph lies contradictory.
probably 4 cuz its a little vague,yet could be such,because "secret accomplishments" could be a metaphor for masochistic indulgence,well,thats my end of the answer.
