How does the refracted ray behavve when it passes form:- (1) A rarer medium to a denser medium. (2) A denser medium to a rarer medium.

(1) When a refracted ray passes from rarer medium to a denser medium the light ray bends towards the normal.

(2) When a refracted ray passes from denser medium to rarer medium the light ray bends away from the normal.
