Answer:
According to the second law of thermodynamics when an energy is put to use a part of it is always converted into unuseful form of energy.
When photosynthesis starts energy it is utilised by living organisms by which unuseful energy is still created and lost. The amount of energy released is always less than the actual energy released by any living organism.
Example:-
- When a bulb is grown first it is converted it into heat energy then into light energy. Hence, energy is lost in the form of heat energy.
- Similarly, when a machine is used a part of it is lost in friction and moving other parts of machine.
