UV rays: over-exposure to these harmful rays generates free radicals – aggressive molecules that cause cell damage. Pressure, blows and abrasion: skin recognises pain and alerts us to danger.

The outer layer of the skin, epidermis forms a physical barrier to the entrance of microbes. The skin secretes some chemical substances call keratinocyte that secretes keratin, is very tough on the shin and it fight against microorganisms.
