How does the sky appear when viewed (what would be the colour of sky) in the absence of atmosphere?

The absence of atmosphere means that there are no particles present to scatter light...scattering of light in the sky by tiny particles is what gives it it's colour...so without atmosphere the sky looks dark..

So the answer is : the sky appears Dark.
