how does the sound produced by a vibrating object in a medium reach your ear
Answers
Answer:
When an object vibrates, it passes on the vibrations to the surrounding medium (air) which then travels through the material medium by vibrating its particles about their mean positions. When these vibrations enter the ear, the hit against the ear drum, which causes it then to vibrate resulting in us hearing sounds
The sound produced by a vibrating object in a medium reaches your ears through setting up a wave like motion in the medium. When an object vibrates, it sets the particles of the medium around it vibrating. One of the particle of a medium comes in contact with the vibrating object is the first displayed from its balanced position it then exerts a force on the particles next to it and gets the next particles displayed from its balanced position of rest. After displacing all the other particles the first particle comes back to its original position the process continues till the sound reaches our ear.
