how does the sound produced by a vibrating object in a medium reach your ear?​

Answer:

The sound waves need a medium to travel which is air around us so sound from vibrating objects reaches our ears.

But in case of vaccuum there is no medium for sound to travel so it can't be hear such as in space.

when an object vibrates, it vibrates the neighbouring particles of the medium . these vibrating particles vibrate the adjacent particles. vibrations in a particle create disturbance in the mediumand consequently compressions and rarefaction s in this way vibrations produced by an object are transferred from one particle to another in the form of compressions and the rarefactions till ot reaches our ear.

region of high pressure and high density is called compressionand region of low pressure and low density in the air is called rarefaction. as the object continues to vibrate, it produce a series of successive of compressions and the rarefactions in the air , thus , propagating sounds through the air and finally reaches our ear
