Explanation:

There are spaces between particles of matter. The average amount of empty space between molecules gets progressively larger as a sample of matter moves from the solid to the liquid and gas phases. There are attractive forces between atoms/molecules, and these become stronger as the particles move closer together.

Answer:

The force of attraction between particles of a solid is maximum because they are closely packed. Where as between particles of a gas the force of attraction is minimum due to the random motion of the gaseous particles.

This the space between two particles is inversely proportional to the force of attraction between them cause the far the particle gets the less the attractive force it experience
