In spite of having all the adverse circumstances both the boys Nicola and Jacopo show devotion and great diligence in their behaviour. They are highly committed to save their  sister's life . They become role models, epitomes of sacrifice who can enlighten the path for rest of the humanity to follow. This is really a ray of hope. The exemplary behaviour of the boys is worthy to be imitated.

This is a deeply engaging story. Although the characters and the plot appear quite simple but the story has a deeper meaning. It shows that when all hope appear to be lost, there is always a flickering light which promises towards a bright future.this is a hope that keep these boys always on their toes. Today, when larger number of people are engaged in fulfilling their mean and selfish motives, these two small boys are working selflessly for their sister. The example of the author shows that there are good in our society who appreciate the good work done by people. The nurse shows that you may find some people who can come out and he you in your darkest hour.
