gender inequality results in unequal opportunities, and while it impacts   the lives of both genders, statistically it is girls that are the most disadvantaged.While boys tend to experience greater freedom, girls tend to face extensive limitations on their ability to move freely and to make decisions affecting their work, education, marriage etc. This issue is highlighted in the story, Bholi. Bholi wasn’t given a say when it came to her marriage. She was married off as if she was a burden to her family. In contrast, her groom could decide whether or not he should marry her. He even demanded dowry which was normal for the groom to do. However when bholi became assertive and decided she wouldn’t marry such a greedy man, everyone found it rude and thought she was a spoiled lady, without understanding the situation
