A man leaves his native country to make a living for his family, in an alien place his loneliness and yearning for his own child gets reflected in another, with the innocence of the child reciprocating the same.
Tagore’s Kabuliwala is a story about innocence, love, yearning for human bonding. Through the 2 main characters, the writer tells the story of the human condition during those times. And because of its subject, this story is universal in nature, underlying the need for solidarity among countries, religions, languages.
