The sun light directly falls on the equator of the earth and receives most of the sunlight whereas the land away from the equator receives very less sunlight. Clearly, we can see the land near equator will be warmer and hot as compared to the land away from the equator.

as the areas near the equator get direct rays of the sun it is having hot climate as compared to other regions which are not near to the equator because those regions get slanting rays of the sun
