The thing that created a lot of humor between muni and the american was that the foreigner thought the sage was answering his questions in his own language and the sage thought that the person was consistent with what he was saying.

Also the language difference plays a great role in portraying the real characters of the two major figures in the story.

Although, both the characters tried to guess the subject by following the direction of the each other's finger and material objects.
