How does the use of a scanning electron microscope differ from that of a transmission electron microscope?

■Electron microscope uses beam of electrons instead of light .

■In transmission electron microscope (TEM) electrons pass through the specimen and form a two dimensional image .

■In Scanning electron microscope (SEM) electrons are reflected from the specimen and produce three dimensional image .
