Tooth decay happens when the pH of our teeth becomes acidic. When we apply toothpaste which is basic in nature then the tooth enamel becomes basic. This prevents further tooth decay.

because tooth paste is basic nature . it increase the value of Ph value of mouth which become 5.8 after eating
