how does the vegetation in the sahara adapt to the low rainfall?

a. In Sahara desert , temperature is extremely hot and dry.
b. In fact , many parts of Sahara receive very less or no rain for years.
c. Vegetation found here includes cactus, acacia etc.
d. They have the ability to adapt and survive to such extreme hot weather conditions.
e. Most of the vegetation found  here has the ability to conserve water. We may give example of Cacti.
f. Vegetation here generally absorbs water in their thick stems.
g. These plants also grow lower and have long roots to reach area of moisture and water.
