how does the water keep in an earthen pot become cool during summer

because evaporation take place there and in pot there small pors by which water come out that water get evaporates and the water which inside the pot that cool

earthen pot contains small pores on its walls . when water is poured into it some of it seeps through these pores and reaches onto the outer surface and on reaching there it evaporates and evaporation cause cooling .
