how does the water kept in an earthen pot become cool during summer ?

Earthen pots have minute holes all over the surface​ through which water seeps out.This water then gets evaporated by taking the latent heat from the pot and from the remaining water and thus the water gets cool.

Water is kept in earthen pot and water become cool during summer because water is cooled due to evaporation of my water and during summer water become faster evaporate which make water Cooler.
