How does the water kept in an earthen pot (matka) become cold during summer?

As we know that some water present in the pot comes out through to pores of earthen pot and to get evaporated ,the water outside takes heat from the water present inside the pot.The heat in the water present inside is utilized to evaporate the water outside the pot.

Water looses its temperature through small pores present in the pot. Hence in an earthen pot (matka) become cool during summer.
