This story is a satire on the English aristocratic classes particularly women. But the satire is not pungent or biting. It is Deep and meaningful but pleasant and lighthearted. Humour arises out of the shallowness and hypocrisy of the characters. There is Loona Bimberton who boast of her plane ride with Algerian pilot. There is Mrs Packletide who arranges for a tiger hunt in order to outshine Loona Bimberton. She wants to hold a party in Loona Bimberton’s honour but her real purpose is to show of the Tiger skin she has got from her Tiger hunt. Also there is Miss Mebbin who plays all the master strokes in the story. The way she gets her weekend Cottage and extracts regular :incidental expenses’ from Mrs packletide is highly amusing as well as revealing. The role of the villagers in the tiger Hunter, too has a big share of humour in the story.

MRS PACKLETIDE'S TIGER is a humorous play written by Saki.
Poet has created a great humour by the use of satire. She satirises the main characters in the story for indicating the degradation of the values and the great effect of jealousy and money greed.
♪ The Two incidents were :-
→ When the poet describes how miser was Miss Mebbin that once she even resisted to give tips in some Hotel at Moscow.
→ When Miss Mebbin discovered that the goat was succumbed to death by the mortal bullet wound and the tiger got dead due to a heart attack.
→ When Louisa Mebbin blackmails Mrs. Packletide and gets her cottage ; Packletide confides ".....Incidental expenses are so heavy"
♣ These incidents were used by poet to create humour in the story.
