A tundra plant has to complete its life cycle before the short summer season of merely a month or two is over. Human life span is also so short. We have to do much before we expire. The success of human life also depends highly upon the regularity, punctuality and speed.
Likewise, powerful rulers do so many efforts but as the time passes, their efforts get vanished. Powerful rulers get monuments and statues built in marble and gold to be remembered by posterity but Time destroys their efforts by annihilating their creations.
